Les Cheveldayoff grew up as a missionary kid in Bolivia South America until graduating from High School at which time he returned to his home country of Canada. After acquiring his Aircraft Engineers Degree from SAIT in Canada, he set off to Haiti as a Missionary pilot and mechanic with Mission Aviation Fellowship (MAF).
It was here in Fort Lauderdale at First Baptist Church his passion for music and acting was nurtured while participating in the Emmy Award winning Fort Lauderdale Christmas Pageant. This 15+ years of performing as a singer, actor, dancer and being on the creative team was the catalyst to his next call to The Holy Land Experience in Orlando. At this new Christian theme park where the message of Christ was shared and exhibited throughout, he had the honor to portray Jesus, as the lead actor for over 15 years. During these years at The Holy Land Experience, he progressed to writing award winning plays, music, developed choreography, and assisted in directing and producing the daily entertainment venues as an integral part of management. Over the years he progressed in his responsibility and authority in management, was ordained as a pastor, obtained continuing education for acting and theme park management through International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions in theme park support, with ongoing development of management skills through San Diego University.

Les’ passion is to portray and communicate the life of Christ in unique but reverent live dramas and movie platforms. While being involved in two movies and three short documentaries filmed on location at The Holy Land Experience, he also had the privilege of meeting prominent Hollywood actors, Christian professional speakers, and artist. Although, the world may consider this being in the “limelight” he never lost the humble but authoritative calling in his life, portraying the role of Christ. In an interview aired on CNN, he boldly recognized, playing the role of Christ is not only an honor but is also a responsibility on and off stage. Most people question if it’s just an act but to him it’s a real commitment to Jesus which includes strong convictions. When you have a calling and real commitment it certainly comes with its own set of burdens. Not only the ridicule and bantering from the public, but with over 2,500 crucifixions, the bodily injuries and challenges created in the 30 years of performing. However, when there is continual confirmation of being in the will of God and following His call, there is a feeling of accomplishment, satisfaction, and peace.
